Allow Us to Reintroduce Ourselves: Tiffany Marini

Get to know Tiffany Marini, Vice President of the Spruce Foundation, collector of vinyl, and advocate for giving back to Philly’s communities.

Your out-of-town friends are here for the weekend. Where in Philly do you take them for a good time?

BOK Bar is always a crowd pleaser in the warmer months because it allows people to get a full view of the city. Otherwise, I always try to expose them to Philly’s restaurant scene, as there are literally too many good restaurants to choose from!

What’s a little-known fact about yourself?

I love collecting vinyl records.

What’s your go-to coffee shop in Philly? And why?

Rival Bros—I love supporting my neighborhood coffee spots!

Favorite film or TV show that features Philly?

All the Rocky films obviously…

How long have you been involved with the Spruce Foundation? And why did you decide to get involved?

I have been involved with Spruce for four years. I got involved because I was looking for something more. I needed something other than the routine of work and going out with friends on the weekend. To feel like I was giving back, and was part of something bigger than myself. Spruce was the perfect fit for me—an organization that accepts and even encourages inexperience, as most board members are learning what it means to be on a board and working in philanthropy together. PLUS, the organizations that we work to give grants to are pretty incredible.

What is your committee (or ad-hoc committee) working on right now that you’re most excited about?

I am in my final year on the board, and it has been really interesting and rewarding to spend that last year on the Executive Committee, and to be able to have insight into the incredible work that all the committees are doing.

What has been your favorite event, initiative, or accomplishment while you’ve been at Spruce?

Prior to Exec, I spent two years on the Communications team and the little family we had there will always have a special place in my heart.

The Spruce Foundation is managed by an all-volunteer group of rising stars in Philadelphia’s professional community who are dedicated to leveraging their skills to build a promising future for local youth. Learn more about the Spruce Foundation and who we are »
