At the end of September, we convened at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia to celebrate the last three years of grantees with our annual Spruce Foundation Gala. For the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to gather for a night of dining, dancing, and fundraising to honor the great work our grantees do to benefit Philly youth. We wanted to take this opportunity to share some highlights from our event.
We’re grateful that representatives from many of our past three years of grantees were able to join us for the evening. Everyone dressed to impress – attendees, grantees, and board members alike. Our guests had a great time capturing memories in our photo booth and with our photographer. Check out some of the moments we captured!
At one point in the evening, our President Maggie Lewis and Vice President Mikey Ticzon took to the floor to announce and honor all of our grantees from 2020, 2021, and 2022. More grantees and more fun! You can learn more about these incredible organizations here.
We also had some great, one-of-a-kind raffle prizes to share, including some signed Eagles merchandise, vouchers to small businesses, and work from local artists. We’re so grateful to each individual and company that donated. It was a great roundup.
From ticket sales, raffle items, and donations, we raised a grand total of more than $11,000. Enough to cover over half of our annual grants! Through the support of our attendees, we’re able to continue our work to benefit youth-serving Philadelpha nonprofits.
Thanks to all of our attendees, grantees, and donors for making it a truly special evening!
