Presenting Our 2024 Grantees

For over a decade, the Spruce Foundation has provided annual grants to local nonprofits who share our vision for a brighter future for Philadelphia’s young people. From our founding to present day, we’ve believed that empowering the next generation would sow seeds of lasting change in our city.

Today, we’re excited to announce our 2024 grantees—four nonprofits with an unwavering commitment to this vision and their work to enrich the lives of Philadelphia’s youth!

A Book a Day engages the arts to expand literacy and promote interdisciplinary life-long learning among children in underserved and diverse communities.

Body Empowerment Project decreases eating disorder risk in adolescents, equipping them with skills to live peacefully and healthfully in their bodies.

Safe-Hub Philadelphia offers a safe space for young people to access high-quality afterschool sports programs that focus on the development of the whole child.

Young Chances Foundation provides youth a diverse range of activities geared towards growth and learning, mental and behavioral health, and generational connections.

Please join us in recognizing the remarkable work of these incredible organizations!

Amidst an outstanding record number of 75 applicants, this year’s grantees stood out as beacons of dedication and innovation in their commitment to building a community where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we continue to spotlight this year’s grantees and showcase their incredible impact on our city.
