On Friday, November 8, the Spruce Foundation launched our Spruce For Youth donor referral contest as part of our 2024 fundraising appeal. With a history that dates back to 2007, we know our roots run deep. That’s why, until Giving Tuesday, we ask that our Spruce community tap their networks to help multiply our impact in Philadelphia.
Because we believe anyone can be a philanthropist, Spruce For Youth focuses on the number of new donors referred, not the amount donated — which means no amount is too small to give.
To play, participants are encouraged to:
Make a donation first.
This contest is not about the dollar amount, so no amount is too small.
Spread the word.
Contacts who donate at least $1 and enter the participant’s name in the referral box are added to the participant’s count.
Keep the momentum.
Participants should encourage their contacts to refer their contacts, and so on, to keep the contest going!
The participant who refers the most donors by Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11:59pm, will receive two (2) free tickets to next year’s gala, our annual event celebrating Spruce’s grantees.
Our donors are important contributors to our mission! They directly impact our work to support nonprofits that help youth thrive and our efforts to develop leaders and philanthropists in Philadelphia.
