Will you support Philadelphia food security?

UPDATE: The fundraiser is now closed. Thanks to your generous donations, we raised over $2,000 for Share Food Program.

When the Spruce Foundation was founded in 2007, helping the city’s children thrive was at the core of our mission. Over the last 13 years, we’re proud to have supported a plethora of organizations, small and large, that make life better for Philly kids.

This is a critical time for our city. The biggest problem facing our city’s youth at this time is the most basic one: nourishment. Many of us take full refrigerators and accessible groceries for granted. This is not true for everyone in our city. We feel an obligation and responsibility to use our voice to fundraise to benefit an organization providing food resources to those in need: Share Food Program

Share Food Program is a nonprofit organization serving a regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy. Philadelphia Share started as a community food coop offering below-retail packages of food. Share manages complex food distribution operations, to bring a steady, reliable stream of food relief to more than 505 volunteer-led food cupboards. We are proud to stand with Share during this crisis.

To stand with us and support Share Food, please donate at the link below now through April 6. The Spruce Foundation is matching up to $500 in donations. We hope you’ll consider supporting Philly youth when it’s most needed.
